Introduction
"After conducting a comprehensive survey within our community, we have identified a significant gap in our understanding and implementation of metrics and indicators for global patient safety targets. Our survey revealed that there is limited awareness and proficiency among healthcare professionals regarding the importance and practical application of these metrics. Additionally, respondents expressed a need for structured guidance on identifying key patient safety areas, selecting appropriate metrics and indicators, and integrating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) into practice. It is evident that there is a pressing need to address these knowledge gaps and equip our workforce with the necessary skills and tools to effectively measure and improve patient safety outcomes."
