The scientific committee identified there is a learning need about occupational health and safety in hospitals which includes:

  • Limited understanding of the basics and fundamental concepts of occupational health and safety, including key terms, principles, and the importance of implementing effective measures in the workplace.
  • Lack of clarity regarding the components of occupational health and safety.
  • Insufficient comprehension of the meaning of occupational hazards and diseases, resulting in a limited understanding of the potential risks and health challenges faced by workers in various industries.
  • Unclear knowledge of how to promote health for workers within the occupational context.
  • Inadequate understanding of actions to be taken during work incidents and the prevention of such incidents in hospital settings.
