Tools for formatting and citing scientific references (workshop)

The scientific committee observed there a learning gaps about the Tools for formatting and citing scientific references as follows:

• Lack of information about the concept of scientific citations and their importance in research and scholarly communication and how to effectively prevent plagiarism in their academic work.
• Shortage of knowledge regarding the proper methods for conducting research using trusted databases, including effective search strategies and critical evaluation of information sources. - Weak awareness about the process of adding scientific papers to citation manager software and organizing and citing research materials for academic purposes.
• Poor proficiency in creating scientific citations using EndNote and Mendeley software, hindering efficient reference management in academic and research contexts.

• Explain the concept of scientific citations and articulate their importance in the context of research and scholarly communication.
• Identify how to prevent plagiarism in academic work.
• Clarify how to conduct research using trusted databases, including effective search strategies and critical evaluation of information sources.
• Describe how to add scientific papers to a citation manager software of their choice, demonstrating proficiency in organizing and citing research materials for academic purposes.
• Illustrate how to create scientific citations using both EndNote and Mendeley software, enabling them to efficiently manage references for academic and research purposes.
